Standard Bank
International purchase overcharged suddenly?

Business & Finance

Good day. I made a cheque card purchase to pay into an account from overseas. Please contact me via email as I do not have access to my cellphone number listed on hello peter. I made a purchase for the amount of $3, 031.13. These transactions were meant to be billed as $2, 950 and $81.13 respectively. When the authorization was still outstanding this was showing correct on my standard bank card, but after the purchase has gone through the amount in rand does not add up to this at all. R32, 044 has been taken. I am aware the exchange rate is continuously fluctuating but there is no ways this could have been at this amount when it went through, I have infact been charged now $3, 197 as of today, Sunday Sept 8. The purchase went through this morning so it should have been with the current rate which is 10.01 to the dollar. Please explain or assist in disputing! I am aware this may be the merchants issue, if so I need this sorted ASAP.
