Incompetent insurance claim handling

Three weeks ago we logged a claim with Indwe Risk Services for my car that sustained water damage as a result of the recent Cape Town storms. My car completely cut out whilst driving home from work, an electrical failure we suspect. After logging the claim, it took three days for the assessor to come out to assess the car. We received no feedback from Indwe until five days had passed when we had to call the call centre for feedback. We currently have a courtesy car option added to our policy, but had to fight for six days after the claim was logged for them to agree to giving us a courtesy car. Since then it has been an endless battle to get Indwe to provide us with an answer as to whether the car will be fixed as well as a timeframe. They have not been forthcoming with any information regarding our claim at all. No one has even had the decency to call us with feedback, until we contact them. We have been calling almost daily to get some sort of resolution, and each time we are given the run around that the assessor is yet to complete the report. The agent that is dealing with our claim is seldom available and never returns our calls when we leave messages. This is unacceptable!
