Incorrect Claim Logging Advice

Good Day
A claim was logged for my car in late Feb to get the bonnet and bumper repaired from an accident. This claim was logged with Ryan. During the call (which is recorded and our only reference-since they do not give reference nos) advised that we should log the claim along with another claim (for a windscreen chip) as part of the same, since while they did not happen for the same incident, they happened during the same week.
The call was recored and my wife asked Ryan a few times about this. Today when we phoned, Ryan denies this. The only reason we phoned was because the assessor who was supposed to confirm this with Ryan did nothing and also did not get back to us after he said he would. I explained the reason for the single claim, and he said he would confirm with Ryan. Today I find out that the portion of the claim for the car is approved, but not the windscreen.
The problem is I did not get feedback on this and we were advised by an Indwe agent incorrectly.
This is now affecting me as I need to now budget for 2 excess amounts - when Ryan confirmed (on the call) that one would be needed.
