Last month OM double debited me on my life insurance, I called my bank and reversed the funds, unfortunately they debited it in one amount, so I had to get the whole amount reversed. My broker told me to send OM a letter instructing them to deduct my outstanding premium of X amount on 20th August, which they did.
Today I called the OM call center today to inquire why my debit order hasn't gone off yet, as it normally goes off on the 1st. She tells me that I have requested they change the debit order date. I asked her to read the letter again, but she refused to listen, asked to speak to the supervisor (Boniswa), who also refused to listen. She can't change the debit order date until the 23rd, so this means, my life is not covered & it means nothing to them!! Can't Old Mutual do a simple thing like change the date of the debit order? My letter stated nothing about changing the date of my debit order, it mentioned, I want them to debit the outstanding premium for Aug on 20th Aug.

Come on Old Mutual, is this the service you give your clients? Tried calling & emailing my Broker, no response whatsoever!!

I would never recommend anyone to Old Mutual, cos they really don't care!
