Slow response to insurance claim

We had a breakin at our house on Monday (21 Jan 2013). During the incident our burglar bars were forced open. We logged the claim with ABSA on Tuesday (22 Jan 2013 @ 10.20) and received a claim no. Whilst talking to the consultant I emphasized that the repairs are URGENT as our security in the house is currently compromised and still confirmed with the consultant that we would be contacted the same day. Lo and behold we were only contacted via sms on Wednessday @ 14:00 by the contractor and only phoned Thursday morning to arrange for them to come and give a quote - during this entire period our safety has been jeopardised. We have subsequently kindly cancelled the claim and arranged for someone to come and do the much needed urgent repairs! We have been loyal ASBA customers and I just need to know if this is standard practice w.r.t. the time taken to resolve an urgent matter and if that is the case we will be investigating other options for insurance cover as this is totally unacceptable
