I have been a client of Mutual and Federal for years. I never had any complaints until recently. On 15 July 2013 I came home and I noticed that there was a break-in into my garage. The next day (16 July 2013) I had another break-in into my house and garage again. On 15 Aug 2013 another break-in occurred. Claims: *002, *003 and *004 were submitted soon after each break in. I received feedback that the claim for the house break-in was rejected due to the lack of burglar proof. I notified my insurer that I do have burglar proof. My insurer soon after that notified me again that the claim was rejected due to the lack of an alarm. I never received any notification to install an alarm and there is no proof of such receipt of notification on my file. I only received notification to install an alarm within 30 days on 28 Aug 2013.By then I already installed an alarm. I received 2 documents both dated 7 Aug 2013 saying that claims *003 and *004 was rejected due to the lack of an alarm. It is unacceptable that claims be rejected of this reason seen as I was never notified to install an alarm. Who's fault is it? Surely not mine!
