Not Receiving Refund

I emailed cancellations at 1life to cancel both my life policies I hold with them, 1life and 1st for Women, on 26 July 2013.

On 31 July 2013, I received a call from a Mr. Marsdorf confirming that the policies (both of them) would be cancelled and the July premiums would be refunded to me.

On 13 August 2013, I called to speak to Mr. Marsdorf to enquire about my refunds and a Mr. Johannes Phakale took a message for Mr. Marsdorf as he was not available at that time.

Lo and behold, I received an email from Johannes requesting that I supply feedback on hellopeter for the service he gave me. What service? He took a message for someone else, who to this day has not yet called me back?? Since when do you ask to be complimented on hellopeter? Should this not be something a person willingly does out of their own?

Back to the refund; I received an sms on 13 August to confirm that the refund has been logged and would be refunded to me. And so it has, although only 1 of the 2.

Do I really need to phone and follow up again? Can the person dealing with the matter not just deal with it once and for all? Do it efficiently?

Quick enough to take the money, but not willing to refund?
