Hollard insurance gave me grief at a time of grief

Lodged a claim with Hollard for my late aunt's funeral plan. I was told on the day of the claim that the cover had just finished a year. I was then asked to take to the doctor a form for medical info. that was done and all the necessary documentation was submitted. I was then asked for medical history dating back to2 years prior to taking the policy. where was I going to dig this info from for a person who's been healthy all her life. A person who only fell ill for a short while (8 weeks to be exact) then passed away. I wrote a complaint letter to the the claims department raising a couple of questions. That was followed up by an sms from Hollard confirming that my claim had been approved and that paymnt would be paid to the provided bank account. Only to recieve R1 873. from a R50k cover. This I was told was a refund of all my premiums paid because the policy was under a year. To my suprise. Hollard advertises that they give you piece of mind when it comes to insurance policies and yet you get the total opposite at the time of claiming. Never ever will I recommend this company to anyone, and never ever will I have any dealings with them.
