My dad is blind &he asked me to help him to surrender his policy. I phoned Compushare in July &was told they dont deal with 3rd parties &that since my dad is blind, he should go to an Old Mutual branch 50kms away. I hired a driver on 24 July 2013 &your consultant told him he couldnt be assisted with his reference number; he needed a hard copy as proof of his investment. On 2 Aug, I traveled to KZN from Joburg to assist him &we were told by Compushare that since they had nt captured his bank details, he will have to visit his branch again after 3 days. He visited the branch on 7 Aug &was finally assisted but was advised to come back for an update after 7days. Today he was told to come back after 11 days as the consultant who had assisted him is on leave. Your service is pathetic &unacceptable considering that my dad is blind &its costly to hire a driver each time he has to visit your branch. My father is angry &fed up with your service. Worst, he is blind &cant be assisted telephonically since he has to confirm his ID number &bank details. Someone needs to do something about this. I will definitely NOT recommend Old Mutual to anyone after such a pathetic service to a blind pensioner.
