Fast to open accounts but closing is impossible

I have an FNB credit card which I no longer want. So I phobed the credit card department who told me I have to send an email and it will take up to 7 days. Ive been waiting lobger than that and the account is still not clossed. There isnt even a retentions department for the credit cards. I have to wait and hope that the admin department closes my account.

I closed my discovery card recently. It took no lo ger than 3 days for the process to be completed. ABSA on the other hand is immediately.
