I have always said how much I enjoy banking with FNB. I have also gone as far as phoning in to compliment and writing previous compliments on Hello Peter to let FNB and others know how happy I was with their service.

I am now disgusted that after paying off and cancelling my overdraft that FNB has been charging me an account fee of R85.00, so yesterday I went into FNB and changed my account so that I would be paying as I use, costing R23.00 a month. Once I had signed all the documents and gone home, I logged on to my account via online banking to see that I had been charged AGAIN on the 14 th of the month for monthly fees of R58.90. How can they charge me a monthly fee of double what I signed for. This is then a breach of contract as the document presented to me did not stipulate anything involving additional charges.

I then tried on numerous occasions to speak to a consultant but battled for an hour to get through to one. I am very upset and I will be setting out to change banks as soon soon as this issue is resolved.
