SPECIAL CLEARANCE NOT DONE ON REQUEST

I banked a cheque at the East Rand Mall on Monday 5 August 2013, asking the teller that the deposit required special clearance, and confirm that it will take 4 days, prints my teller slip and off I go. On Monday the 12th of August 2013 after the cheque is still not cleared, I enquire at the Nedbank Call Centre (Ref No. 64154357) that it would clear that same evening. On the following day I go into the bank at Festival Mall and the friendly lady there advises me to call the branch where I deposited that cheque to find out why it has not cleared yet. This morning 7 days later I phone East Rand Mall, and the friendly helpful Team leader lady advises me THAT I HAD NOT REQUESTED FOR SPECIAL CLEARANCE!! I inform her I have the proof from the Nedbank slip you receive back from the teller, the clearance was requested. Well sorry it is the teller's fault, nothing Nedbank can do about it now, you will have to wait a few more days! So is the teller going to pay the extra interest on a settlement amount that was requested, and I could not meet?
How pathetic is this service, 18 years with this institute, this is the first time I asked for a special clearance, and they let me down!
