I urgently needed to make use of my funds from my Flexi Fixed Deposit, I was advised that I could not get the amount that I wanted and the best route was close the account 10-08-2013. The funds would be in my account on 12-08-2013. Monday came and no funds were in my account. When quering this with FNB, I was only told then that they had been a problem and I needed to now submit a letter requesting closure of the account to branch desk. I emailed the request on 12-08-2013 and telephoned this branch desk and an FNB employee that spoke well but lacked manners dropped the phone on my ear. On 13-08-2013, I reported the incident to the primier suit and again requested my funds as a matter of urgency to no avail. On Wednesday morning (14-08-2013), I was now told, I now need to furnish supporting documents of why I need my own money. I refused. Seems to me, some FNB devisions extremely lack customer care and make 'terms and conditions' as they go along. All this when I needed their help the most. Thank you very much FNB!!! Lesson Learnt.
