I have written to FNB Constantia Kloof requesting them to close my cheque account & 32 day notice deposit 62107525068 & 74342971469 and pay funds to my wife's cheque account 62106978127. I sent a signed letter of request, certified copy of ID & original proof of new address (in the UK) and posted five copies of this to the branch starting on 02.05.2013. No response and the accounts are still open. I logged a complaint about this on the FNB website Ref No 3937500 on 22.06.2013 and to date no action or response. I relocated to the UK in February 2012 and needed to keep bank accounts open for tax rebates. I do not intend to return to SA in the near future, closing the accounts at branch is not an option. I can email scanned copies of the documents, can FNB please close the accounts? I do not want the accounts to run into debit balances and then be blacklisted. Why do you make it so difficult for your customers to do the right thing?
