I received several text messages 2 days ago informing me that my cell phone number has been registered for cell phone banking. I then received a text messsage informing me that a card was issued. I phoned customer services and informed them of this and I was told that it must be a typing mistake when the phone number was entered as it was an african man who registered for cell phone banking. I asked them to rectify this error and make sure that my number and bank account are not affected. Such practices give a person a sense of insecurity if someone can register your number on their account. I asked the lady to get them to contact me and let me know when they have resolved it for my piece of mind. I have not heard anything from FNB and this is of concern to me. I am not at all pleased with the service as this is my account and ultilmately my money. Could someone at FNB do something about this. I think measures should also be put in place to prevent this from happening.
