Incorrect information on email correspondence

On the 5th of July, I received an email from Van Der Bergh informing me that I have brought my premiums up to date, now today I receive an email mentioning a premium debt that is still outstanding on one of my policies. I phoned the call centre and the woman on the other side confirms that it is still outstanding so I mentioned that Van Der Berghs' email confirmed that I was up to date as of the end of June. The customer care woman admitted that it was wrong information that was sent to me. Although I have paid R200 AGAIN into this policy today, my argument is that a person budgets to get your outstanding debt sorted out that gets mentioned to you in emails and then the story has extra monies outstanding that was never mentioned in the original email (5th of July). Why can't a client know about the correct amounts in the first place so that your budget can be adjusted to accommodate these issues but now it is MY problem that I haven't brought my policy up to date.
