I am a loyal client at Metropolitan and have been for the past 4 years. But i am very unhappy, dissapointed and Furious with the way i have been treated by the company. On my policy i have covered my Father and my sister, but when i went to make a claim after the passing of my father on the 22nd of July in the Mitchells Plain branch i was told to bring all the necessary documents wich i brought on the 23th July, i was assisted by a kind lady by the name of Elain Sylverster. Their System showed that my Policy was still active because they accepted the premiums for June and July. On the 25th of July i went to their head offices in Bellivelle and was assisted by another nice lady by the name of Yonela who also told me not to worry because their system does not show lapse and if it had lapsed they wouldnt have accepted the June and July premiums. My dad has not been burried still because of the inssufient funds and i depended on that Policy as i am not working as i told them on the affidavit i was asked to bring. I am very dissapointed and i dont know what to do or where to go because they told me me they will not be paying out which is why my Dad has not been burried yet.
