Funeral policy was taken out in 2002/01 and premiums were payable until the age of 65 and reflected on the policy when premiums were supposed to cease. After her 65th birthday my mom noted that Metropolitan is still deducting premiums. On enquiry she was advised that this was an error and that there was not supposed to be a end date for premiums payable on the policy although it clearly states so in the policy. After several phone calls, faxes, visits to Metropolitan she was advised that the policy in its current form will not be honored and therefore no refund of premiums will be accommodated. This is regarded as breach of contract between Metropolitan and my mom as the policy was sold in good faith to her.
Hellopeter's intervention is urgently required as my mom is soon turning 67 and still waiting for Metropolitan to revise their "decision" Hard copies of the funeral policy is available and has been faxed several times to Metropolitan life. Metropolitan has been advised that they will be exposed on Hellopeter.com if they do not respond within 7 days which now lapsed. Reference number quoted to my mom for the query is 6005801
