Never recived my policy

I was given The above company as the best with price and service.
Took out a policy and money was taken off as per the agreement. I then had to phone them a few days later to add my household goods as well and was quoted a price which i accepted. Please note that i at that stage did not have my policy no yet. I have been waiting since the 17th of May this year for it. They say it was sent by both e-mail and post but i have not got it.
I decided to phone last month to find out why i dont have policy yet and again told it was sent. I then decided to cancel the policy as i found out it did not include my household and that they did not have the registration of the car. I asked for a refund on the fees i had paid and after almost a week i phoned only to be told that it was refused and that i should have been phoned to be informed.
Be warned people that this company is not to be trusted with your insurance as they do not look after the customers.
Just what would have happened if we had a break in and lost our household goods or we had an accident and it would have taken over a month to sort out?
