Runaway truck ploughed through our family home

On Friday 18 January'13 a runaway truck with 2 trailers ploughed through our family home, destroying the bathroom passage, kitchen, lounge and part of the dining room. We reported the incident on Friday morning due to the extreme damage and asked for an assesor to be sent out immediately. Weve been in contact with the call centre, but to date (Tuesday the 22 January' 13 at 15h50) we are still waiting for an assesor to view the damage, organise storage for what is salvagable, etc. The contractors assigned to clear the rubble (by ABSA Insurance) told us today that the more rubble they remove the more chance there is of the structure collapsing which means more damage to furniture and other belongings. We have had to employ a 24 hour security guard as there is no gate to the property at this stage. An assesor phoned at - 16h00 to inform us that he is too busy to see us this week, and will only be able to come out next week. This is APPALING to say the very least!!
