Excessive time to recover excess

I had an accident in March, which was not my fault. After my vehicle was repaired by the service provider on 31 May, I paid the excess, and because it was not my fault, Outsurance was going to recover the excess for my from Alexander Forbes.

I know the excess recovery process takes long, so I waited until some time toward the end of June to enquire about the progress. The person from Legal indicated that the documentation had only recently been sent to AF, so they were still waiting. Perfectly reasonable and understandable.

After hearing nothing for some time, I again enquired. This time I spoke to another agent from legal, but I got the same response: the documentation had apparently only been sent the previous day, so they were still waiting for feedback. The exact same response than a month prior to my second enquiry!?

I'm not going to call a third time to get the same response. I hate generic answers and someone telling me to "be patient". I feel that Outsurance is not transparent, that they are not giving me true feedback, and that they are not doing enough to finalise this issue.
