Nedbank
Student Loan 12 months later!

We approached Nedbank in Aug'12 (towards the end of my daughter's final year of her studies for which she received a study loan from Nedbank) for another studyloan which started in Aug.'12 at Preu Leith Centurion SA for 5 months and continue at ALMA in Colorno Italy for the remaining 7 months (to be completed on 31 Jul '13). Since then we have had ongoing communication between us and Nedbank and given all evidences of the course she was enrolled for. Initially we were told that they will only be able to complete the application Jan '13. There after they continually denied the information given by Preu Leith and ALMA of the 12 month qualification (all Europene Education start in August and continue until July the next year!!). Three weeks ago we again made an enquiry as we had to take out personal loans to cover all the fees - including the flight tickets, accomodation (900 euros per month), as well as R94k tuition fees. Today after again making an enquiry as we are leaving for Italy to attend my daughter's graduation on the 31st July 2013 we were for the first time informed that they do not support travel and accomodation. Why didn't they communicate this in Aug '12? Dr W Semmelink
