I would like to say how disgusted I am with the service I receive and received on previous occassions from Standard bank, whether it is through their unhelpful Call Centre or at the Branch itself.
I went to the Midrand Branch on Saturday 20.07.2013 (Boulders) to dispute the honouring fee that was charged to my account. The drama unfolded in the following steps.
1.Got to the bank and stood in a Queue for 1 hour without any one of the consultants asking me or the other 20 people the reason why we were standing in the enquiries line.
2. Get to the front only to be told to contact the Call Centre and ask for telephonic assistance.
3. I then advised the lady that I did contact the Call Centre previously and was advised that I need to go directly to a branch. I mean why tell me to go to a branch only to contact the Call Centre again?
4.I asked the lady to explain to me why I was not receiving my updates via sms and she failed to give me an explanation saying that the guy who could assist is on day off! How do you expect people who work Monday to Friday and only get a day off on Saturdays to get assistance?? My reference number is 35585167
