Applied for a Card online, my card was approved and a call centre consultant called and confirmed my account details. I was advised to pick up my card from the local FNB Branch which was Phoenix Plaza.
After standing in a queue for almost 1 and a half hour the lady at the collection dest advised that they are unable to release my card because it was done online, i will still have to see a consultant. Advised the lady that i already have an account number and that the call centre agent advised that i just need to provide proof of residence and my ID Doc, she then refused to and asked me to join another queue to see a consultant. i have yet to pick up my card, i was not willing to waste another hour in another queue which was much longer than the collection desk queue. My question is, yes FNB is one of the best banks to bank with at the moment, however why allow customers to apply for accounts online if we still have to see consultants, that defeats the purpose. I just called the call centre and she has now told me to go back to FNB Phoenix Plaza and speak to the branch manager... Shouldn't the staff be clued up? i havent even opened the account but its already a nighmare!
