Friday, 28/06/13, the clutch of my car gave in. I then called FNB Roadside Assist to have my car towed to a service provider of my choice. Being stuck in peak traffic in CPT CBD is not the place to find out that FNB does not have any record of you on their system after being a member of this service since 11/12/12.Ten hours of unsuccessful call center engagements, being kept on the line for 20 minutes at a time, being sent from pillar to post with no feedback unless the call was made by me. Being sarcastically asked if I ever checked my statements to confirm membership. Of being shouted at by consultants asking for ref nrs and who put the call through to them as if this was their private numbers. Of being told to send an email to inform them of my predicament and not attempting to assist me to resolve it or even ask HOW CAN WE HELP YOU.They eventually found me on the system with an excuse that the service was linked to my card and not my account. Funny how the funds were taken from my ACCOUNT and not from my CARD. This whole experience left me without a car and with emotional stress. The turmoil continued for another week. Without an apology or an official explanation. FNB did NOT help me.
