Discrimination against foreign nationals

I am an FNB customer, for a couple of years now. The 'most innovative bank' is in fact shallow minded. I enquired about lending to foreign nationals and this is the response I got via email:

"Good day,

Thank you for your email, with respect to foreign nationals there are various exchange regulations when lending to a foreign national with which we need to comply. All our information is based on credit behaviour and as a foreign national (i.e. a person without a green bar coded south African ID book) we as a bank will not have access to your credit profile therefore making it difficult for us to make an informed decision on whether one can repay the loan. It would also be unfair to assess all existing clients on these criteria and not use it for another group."

How sad. I hv a car that is financed, clothing accounts, cellphone contract, credit card (with FNB by the way), a loan with African bank - & thats not sufficient credit history??? come on, FNB get off your high horse you are not doing any of us foreign nationals any favours. So very disappointed
