I incorrectly transferred R900 from my account into Cell C in payment of a cellphone account of only R90 on Friday 28 June 2013. I went into the East Lynn Branch on Saturday 29 June 2013 to have the payment reversed. I was told to contact Cell C and verify whether I can stop the payment which I confirmed with the customer care department. I called Capitec's Customer Care who upon my instruction processed a stop order via email request and I was told I would be contacted on Monday morning for feedback. I had to call back at 13h30 to follow up on my request and was told that the transaction was already successful and could not be reversed. If these transfers take 24 to 48 hours to reflect, how can I not have this rectified? I dont want to pay 10% of the amount to be reversed and I cannot afford this mistake. I need my money back in my account today still.
