First National Bank
Building Loan Authority for Payment

Business & Finance

We have successfully applied for a further loan on our existing FNB home loan for renovations and additions to our house. Upon signing the bond registration documentation at the attorneys we specifically requested for the amount to be paid 50% upon registration and 50% upon completion (into our account). However, the Authority for payment (ATP) that we received from the attorneys stated that 0% will be paid into an account nr 0000000. The consultant who processed the application has been ignoring calls, SMS's, emails, smoke signals, everything, for days. Upon querying this with FNB Home Loans, they were unable to assist, as we kept being transferred from pillar to post, with the consultant even recommending that the attorney will be able to amend the ATP (the attorney advised that this clearly sits with FNB, who has to to amend all the documents whcih we will have to re-sign again). The final straw was a 45mins call with the call centre, during which the consultant just resent the quote (which does not help AT ALL), and then put the phone down in my ear. I am very frustrated as I can't afford another 45mins call to an incompetent person, and don't know how to resolve the issue.
