FNB violating my consumer rights

An unauthorised debit on my FNB Life Start account by Altech Autopage was made for the last two months. After weeks of fighting to get my money back from Autopage, I found out there was a single digit error when processing a bank account number- an error made by Autopage. The matter left me with the question: If any company gives any random account number to the bank and the bank authorises that debit order, doesnt it imply that anyone at any time can (with just your account number) money from your FNB account?
FNB has neglected my consumer rights by allowing a company, with whom I have no connection, to debit my FNB account. I sent an email on the matter to the prevention contact that I found on the FNB webpage on the 6th of June, I have still received NO RESPONSE. I called into the call centre and the operator informed me that when they receive the accounts departments debit orders, they process only the account numbers and don't even check the account holders name. Why do I fill out form after form of details that FNB doesnt even use! How can my bank allow my money to be and ignore my email? I am a student and have been financially crippled by this error.
