My cousin went to Absa on the 24/06/2013 for a funeral benefit claim on the flexi transactional account which she was not informed of when the account was closed when she went to report my aunt's death. On this day she went to the above branch and when she approached the consultant she was told that there was no such a thing until she asked for a manager who called the department that deals with such policies and she was made to hold on cos the person assisting her didn't have the patience, after holding for more than an hour she was told what was required for her to claim. She then had to go to a consultant by the name of Charity Makhanya who then told her that she has to order the archive statements which will take 48 hours and she should go back on Wednesday the 26/06/2013 and when she got there she was told that Charity had called in sick and has locked the drawers of the desk she works at, on this day she dealt with Lorna masemole who took down her contact numbers and told her that she'll get Charity to call her which never happened. We then went to the branch the following day and Charity told us that she never got the message from Lorna. PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR MORE INFO
