Newly opened check account, closed by FNB

My wife and I moved over to FNB in May to what we hoped would be better service than our previous bank. My wife opened a Gold check account and received her check card and pin. This morning she tried to use the card, only to find that she could not access her check account. She phoned the FNB call centre to find out what was going on and was advised that her check account was closed... WITHOUT REASON.

So now my wife must take time off, use her own petrol to drive to an FNB branch to go and resolve the issue. ALL OF THIS BECAUSE OF GROSS INCOMPETENCE BY FNB!!!

Why was her account closed without reason??
Why was she not informed of this??
And why can the call centre not sort it out?? They could assist when she had to open the account???

I demand that someone in FNB take responsibility and sort this out immediately without her needing to go to the bank.
Let's see if FNB can deliver actual service
