Is this what we pay for?

After reporting incident of damage of vehicle to Santam, they required documents which we mailed. Explained to them that we are unable to open a documentation at police station as they refuse to open without valid driver's lisence (only receipt of application of copy in hand), which Santam also requested us to mail to them. Thereafter we received the claim number (13060377702), assessor came out to value the damage of vehicle and advised that they will come back to advise which Panelbeater will be used. With reporting back to us, they advised that the damage is R8 100-00. I had to pay R2500-00 plus another R5 000-00 due to fact that I did not report incident to the police. They only cover R600-00!
