Broker at absa gave me misleading information

My car was taken in to for panel eating on 24 April 2013 and via my insurance I hired a car from Avis.i was contacted by the people at the workshop on 8 may 2013 at around 16:00 to come collect.as it was already late I had intended to drop off the avid on 9 may and then fetch my car.the guy at the workshop said I could leave the car there as Avis people come and fetch.i then phoned and asked if that it fine and should I phone Avis about it.she misled me by assuring me that it is not a problem and that it is always being done.based on her assuring me I left the car there, only to be told that I kept the car for 4 days and Avis debited my credit card for this amount R1420.27.my problem is that as a broker she misled me and now refuses to help that I get my refund back.she could have said to me she does not know and that I must call Avis myself.why would I do something that was going to make me lose money.to me as a service provider she has failed.is there anyway you can help me?!
