STANDARD BANK INSURANCE: SERVICE IS EXTINCT!!!

I lodged a case with Standard Bank Home Insurance for a burst pipe and received a claim no. on the 11/02/2013.

Had the plumbers out to rectify. A few days later water was still leaking. 2nd repair was carried out. The pipe is still leaking and my built in cupboards have been removed from water damage. But no patchwork can be carried out nor can the new cupboards be put in as there is still water all over the show. So we live with a house full of pots & pans as we have no cupboards to store them.

I have lodged complaints with the call centre, management, personal banker, complaints department and still have no clear response as to when my issues will be rectified. Standard Bank are quite happy to take money every month for the insurance premium, but not so keen on delivering the goods to the client when required. A pity all departments are not as efficient as their accounts department.

I can only hope Standard Bank look at spending less money on advertising false statements like "Move Banking Forward" and more money on salaries for competent staff who are able to solve clients problems & actually speak proper English.

Hopefully the Ombudsman can achieve better results for me!
