The company debited my account while I cancelled

I cancelled my insurance company and they debited my account yesterday (26/06/2013) R608 when I asked they why did they debit while I cancelled the consultant told me the R608 will cover me for the four days remaining four days which I do not understand. Please help because I have joined another insurance which is also going to debit on the 30th of June and the consultants are not helping me they are telling me that they will not reverse the amount.
