I had a accident where I was knocked whilst stationary at a red robot. A car hit another car which spun and hit me. I then contacted my Insurer Dial Direct. It has taken 3 weeks to finalize my claim after several calls. To my shock I was told that the claim was rejected after being sent a sms saying that the claim will be finalized by the end of the day. The reason I was given was that I should have been paying a higher premium, due to the length of my previous insurer. I insured my first vehicle with them 07/01/2011, A consultant Angie from the claims department confirmed by reading out to me that all the information was correct for this vehicle when the car was insured. When I added the second vehicle on 07/12/2011, I had said that I had comprehensive insurance, which I did referring to the existing policy with Dial Direct. So my claim is being rejected because I have not had consistent cover with other insurers, which they admit I confirmed with the first car on inception of this policy. This makes no sense, they paid out a earlier claim for a much lower amount with no hassle, . I was just told on Saturday 10am that I need to return the Hired car which leaves me stranded.
