Extremely poor service & lack of feedback

Business & Finance

I had a small accident with my car and scraped the door on the side in a parking lot on Friday 7 June, after work. I registered the claim first thing Monday 10 June. I was told an assessor would call me in 24-48hrs, then come to me to assess damage and then it takes up to 48hrs to get approval for work to be done to fix my car. I'm starting a new job on 1 July and arranged for a loan vehicle from 21-28 June. Assessor only called me 3 days later on 13 June, then told me that she was too busy and that I should meet her at panelbeaters to speed up the claim process if I wanted my car back by 28 June. I drove over 100km's at my own expense to meet her in Paarl - no word from her until I called Call Centre on 19 June to get an update. Claim being finalised - same response when I called again on 20th. They promised me it would be expedited and finalised that day. Called again on 21 June - same story - promised an sms and approval to be sent to panelbeaters by COB. Called at 16:28 and got the office voicemail - closed until Monday. No sms and no approval. Empty promises, all deadlines missed, no contact with customer - shocking service and would never recommend you to anybody.
