Car insurace bad repair jo

Good day

I met up in an accident at the end of February, and we are insured through 1st insurance brokers with Absa insurance and risk management. The car was starting and not making any funny sounds so I assumed that the car was working fine. I drove the car home which was about 3 Kms. We reported the accident to the insurance who towed the vehicle away. They determined that the radiator and the body of the car was damaged and they said it would cost too much to repair so they are considering paying us out. After a day or two they then decided that they were given a discount from the autobody repair shop and decided to fix the vehicle and we should pay a R5000 access. We decided that it was better if they pay us out but then they said that we had to pay for the towing. Considering this fee we decided that the insurance would know best and we gave them permission to fix the vehicle. After about two or three weeks they then contacted us to collect the vehicle but in the day told us that the car was not starting. They then reqeusted we pay half the additional repairs but now the car is not fixed well and the insurance want us to take it back to the one's who damaged it.
