Bad Service - not as per Contract

I had gearbox problems took my car to a reputable workshop, was examined and they found out that i need a new Clucth kit. They contacted Warrenty Solutions (WS) to claim, WS told the workshop that they wont pay if its due to wear and tear and i must give the go ahead if i want them to open the gearbox, if its wear and tear im resp for payment. I have never read something like that in the contract.also they state they would send out an assesor to verify that. They also want a qoute from my last service done on the vehicle, of which i do have. But why ask for a qoute and not for the service book? anyperson canhave lost the qoute by now. But they no it is impossible to still have it, therefore the claim wont be approved. The warranty is expiring now and im not going to renew it again with WS. I have never used this warranty before and now that i do, they have all kinds of stories. When i bought the car, i found the a noise from the gearbox, took it back to the dealer, the dealer in then contacted WS without my permission and WS authorised the claim without my knowledge. My car is currently at home and i must use public transport it is really an inconvenience for me
