In april 2013, i had an addition amount of R1047.03 taken from my account over and above my normal debit order that goes off for my car instalments. This occurred again in May2013 and i went to an ABSA branch to find out what this was all about as this was gravely affecting my monthly finances. i was put through to the vehicle finance department and they advised me that they had taken on AIP Insurance on my vehicle without my approval. I already HAVE existing insurance with an external company. AIP services then told me to send through proof of this insurance to [Email Removed] and to request that they cancel the insurance from inception and to have that money refunded to ABSA vehicle finance and to call in 10 days later to have my money refunded into my account. i sent the proof IMMEDIATELY on the 28 May 2013. i emailed AIPservices TWICE to inquire about the cancellation of their insurance and to THIS DAY IT HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED OR HAS ANY REFUND BEEN ACTIONED. and then i am asked to call this 0860053421 number and i never get through and i waste all my credit trying to get them to rectify this situation. How are people allowed to from their clients like this!!!?
