MISSING PAYMENT TO GEMS 30 SEPT 2012

GEMS medical aid suspended my benefits because they didn't receive my electronic payment on 30/09/2012. My bank statement reflects the payment (I sent it to GEMS) but for some reason GEMS did not receive the payment from ABSA (GEMS is with FNB). I contacted my local ABSA branch on 24/05/13. They immediately sent an e-mail to Farren Malaton and promised a response within 48 hours. Up to date, I had to contact ABSA at least 7 times (3 phone calls, 4 visits). As I'm writing now, I have not received an answer as to why the payment is not reflecting at FNB. The amount was R1394, 00. My ref nr with GEMS is 000366192. It's unacceptable that I must cope without my medical aid benefits which I pay for every month because ABSA can't tell me what happened to the payment. This is poor customer service, like we read so much about ABSA in the newspapers and on Hellopeter. My local branch (Goodwood) is trying their best to solve the problem but they don't get the feedback from the other ABSA dept involved.
