African Bank are charging interest

How is it possible that after almost 7 years of paying for a loan that the amount owing is still double than the amount that was borrowed. They are in contravention of the NCR and I am reporting them for negligence and reckless credit lending.
They are not allowed by law to charge more interest than the balance due at the time of default yet they ignore this and continue to money. Absolutely disgusted.
