Standard Bank
Posted Statements

Business & Finance

I noticed today that Standard Bank has charged me R9.00 for posting my bank statements. As far as I know this is/was included in my monthly service fee for years now. I never received information that I was going to be charged an additional R9.00 or given the opportunity to not receive the statements to avoid the additional charge. Surely this is unlawful? Instead of charging someone for something they have not asked for, why not rather stop posting statements and if we as clients complain inform us that if we would still like to have our statements posted it will incur an additional charge/ Just a thought to make things SIMPLER, BETTER, FASTER, rather than wasting a clients time and money to write a report on HelloPeter, or phone a consultants etc.
