Last month I changed my account to a cheque account with standard bank. The lady who helped me fill in my bank info form to submit to my employer filled in an incorrect account resulting in me not getting paid my salary for may.
I went to the bank and was handled by the manager, she gave me an overdraft so that my accounts would be paid.
Then my account got seized, I couldn't draw any money and its been over a week now. I was told by an assistant in the bank that all my debits have gone through and I was relieved, although I had no money and couldn't draw any I was content that my accounts were paid.
Yesterday I received notifications stating that my acount is being debited, It was debited twice yesterday, I phoned the call centre and couldn't get any assitance they were very unhelpful.today I got debited again and logged a formal complaint with standard bank, I was told that it would take up to 5days for someone to contact me. I've got to wait 5 days with no money because of standard banks incompetence and lack of urgency
