Keep Charging a Dormant Account

So I switched to FNB from Nedbank because they are way more expensive (after charging me 2 x R145 service fees in one month) and I find FNB more convenient. The account has been dormant for a couple of months, and now I get a call from some random person saying that the account is overdue by more than R400. I think this is ridiculous, why should I be paying bank fees on a account which I am not using, and haven't been using in months? So now I have to either pay the amount or it will just keep on increasing! Surely, everyone I know will hear about this. The bank should be giving us a benefit, instead these guys are milking us.
