All we want to do is pay!

Business & Finance

My husband I were under Debt Review for almost 2 years. On 19th March 2013 we decided to pay off all our debt by means of withdrawing from a pension fund. I contacted all the relevant parties to obtain settlement amounts in order to calculate how much we needed to withdraw from pension. On the 9th April our very unreliable debt councillor (Summit Financial Serv) finally sent the Form 17.4 (Voluntary withdrawal from Debt Review Form) to all the relevant parties. Using the same email I replied to all requested final settlement amounts and bank details to make payment. To date we have only managed to settle 2 out of 9 accounts. The remaining 7 accounts (4 x Std Bank; 2 x Wesbank; 1 x Woolworths) we are unable to settle as the amounts quoted now are much higher than originally quoted after another payment by us through Summit. ABSA MFC posed no problems, we were able to settle immediately. We have now been handed over to Legal departments by the outstanding parties. We have re-requested balances and banking details many times.
