On the 31st March 2011, I put in a claim with Standard bank home insurance for a bathroom incident that took place in my house.

I didn't have enough money for the excess payments (R750*2) so the claim was left pending. Now I have the money to make excess payments. I called Standard bank home insurance to continue with the claim process, but I couldn't find the claim on the system. The call centre agents couldn't explain what happened to my claim and wouldn't help me. Instead I was passed from one call agent to another until I couldn't take it anymore. Every time I was passed over to the next agent I had to start explaining myself all over again. I asked to be put through to the manager but I was kept circulating in the loop of incompetent call agents who are useless at solving problems for the company and the customers.

I lost R150 of airtime with the disgusting service they gave to me. As a loyal paying customer, I'm very disappointed in the horrible service Standard bank home insurance gave me and deeply hurt by what they put me through. It's unfair, I am paying for the service as well as the airtime cost they are busy playing around with.

Please help me. I'm so desperate
