Chip card - ABSA you have a problem: FIX IT!!

I get the usual sms's when doing purchases notifying me of money movement. However, I am never sure of my account balances. The balance sent in the sms is totally different to what is happening in my account. I purchased airtime last night and received a balance. This morning I put in fuel only to find that I had no funds available for purchases. I had to leave my BB, ID and other documents while I went to the bank to sort this out.
I have lodged a complaint before (which I only found out today as nobody bothered to contact me previously) and the response was a plain: "That's the way it works." no attempt is being made to remedy the problem and ABSA basically don't care. All customers are paying exhorbarant fees every month to have their money "managed" yet ABSA don't know how. I would need to have a fulltime accountant to make sense of it and inform me what is going on - is ABSA going to pay his fees? I urge all people to move their accounts. I have had mine for almost 30 years, but I have had enough.
