I am very upset with African Bank. After a long phone call to the call centre to have my debit order date changed to the 1st of each month after starting a new job with a different payment date. I was instructed to send an email with new employment contract, ID and a letter explaining my situation to [Email Removed] and [Email Removed] I had expressed my great deal of urgency and importance to the consultant over the phone as well as in my email. This was on the 15th of May. To date I have had no response from the bank and I noticed that the debit order went off on the 24th, even earlier than usual. This had also put my account into overdraft causing me to have to foot the bill on interest due to African Banks blatant lack of concern for their customers financial affairs. I have always kept my account in good standing and have always sang the praises of this company to anyone seeking financial assistance. I am very disappointed in this disgusting display of incompetence and carelessness and can assure African Bank I will never use them again.
