SA Warranties
34 days later and still no approval for car repai

Business & Finance

Please be careful of taking out insurance with SA Warranties. My Renault Koleos broke down on the 7 April 2013 and a quote was submitted by Renault on the 19th of April 2013 for a repair to the tune of R142 000-00 for an engine replacement along with the turbo and clutch among other things. SA Warranties sent their assessor out to look at the repair, Renault got an engineer to eveluate the repair and submit a report, but still today I have had no response as to when my car will be repaired. Their delay tactics are unbearable. First they want a discount, then they want to know why certain parts need to be changed; then after having the quote for ages, they then have to excalate it to Head Office (why didnt they do that in the first place); then it needs to go to their underwriters Liquid Capital, who refuse to take phone calls and now after all this time they want to see if the engine can be repaired. Again, why didnt they look at these options to begin with instead of looking to fix the engine 34 days down the road. All of these stall tactics mentioned above take days to exhaust till the next excuse/demand comes along buying SA Warranties more time. Stay Away PLEASE!!
